Dr. Borowicz centers her practice on prevention and education. On a patient’s first visit, she discusses relevant screenings and explains the purpose of each. She knows the benefits of catching disease early when it is still 100% curable. She treats both children and adults, and is particularly fond of the elderly population. She is very patient with young and old alike and spends the time to get to know each of them well.
After listening closely, she counsels patients on their lifestyle and diet choices along with other preventative actions they can take to live longer and healthier. Even though she takes medicine and prevention very seriously, she enjoys getting to know her patients and joking with them. To her, laughter really is good medicine. She genuinely enjoys being with other people, laughing, chatting, listening and encouraging them to live well and laugh along with her. This sort of happiness that she brings to the office is contagious and creates a nice environment for her patients.
Dr. Borowicz first pursued medicine as a child in Poland, where as a high school student she began basic studies that prepare students for a career in clinical sciences. She was later accepted and completed her degree at Silesian Piasts Medical School in Western Poland. She completed an internship at Rydygier Hospital, also in Wroclaw, Poland. She enjoyed this opportunity to practice internal medicine so much that she stayed twice as long as was required.
Dr. Borowicz is an engaging person and it shows in the loyalty she builds with her patients. Helping other people gives her energy, which she needs for her two young daughters, Gabby and Ada. Her children keep her and John, their father, very busy. She’s excited that they are old enough now that she can resume her favorite hobby, reading, and more reading. She also winds down by keeping a journal and scrapbooking.
