Chhavi Gandhi, MD

Dr. Gandhi specializes in treating children and adults for allergies and asthma. She believes that promoting good health, through both lifestyle choices, as well as medical screening can lead patients to the best quality of life. She focuses on early diagnosis to better the chance of a cure and disease reversal. This is also important to her, so that she can prevent long-term effects that these sorts of disease can have on her patients. Dr. Gandhi is motivated by patients that want to work as a team and invest commitment and energy to finding the perfect way to improve their overall health.

 

Dr. Gandhi decided to pursue a medical career while still in high school, when she was impressed by the treatment she received from her physician. The doctor had a healing touch and a way of making Dr. Gandhi feel important, and she thought, “I want to be just like that.” She applies that mission to every patient she sees for allergic rhinitis, asthma, contact dermatitis and other conditions. She tries to impress upon each patient the importance of setting time aside to treat his or her body well and allow time for him or her to rest their minds.

 

Dr. Gandhi completed her undergraduate studies at University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. She completed medical school at Rush Medical College. Upon completion, she went on to the University of California at San Diego for her internship, residency and fellowship. She felt like she learned more in that one year than all the years reading books.

 

Dr. Gandhi is married and enjoys many hobbies. Among them are dancing, singing and cooking.
