Christopher Bailey, DPM

Dr. Bailey has long wanted to be a doctor. He jokes that when his career in the NBA didn’t work out, he fell back on medicine. He enjoys the problem-solving nature of practicing medicine. He finds it very gratifying to face a challenge and overcome it in order to improve his patients’ quality of life.

 

Dr. Bailey attended Lockport Township High School and went on to receive his undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois. He then attended the William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He completed his residency training at a high-volume Podiatric Surgical Residency program in Chicago, Illinois where he was named Chief Resident of his graduating class. Dr. Bailey is a Diplomat of The American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He is board-certified in Foot Surgery and Rearfoot Reconstructive/Ankle Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He is also a member of the Illinois and American Podiatric Medical Associations.

 

Dr. Bailey is passionate about his patients. He appreciates motivated patients, and he stresses prevention and compliance, especially in the diabetic population. Dr. Bailey treats a wide range of pathology relating to the foot. This includes all the basic podiatric services that would be expected. Additionally, he treats sprains, factures, sports injuries, and wounds. He is experienced in wound care and custom foot orthotics. Dr. Bailey has a special interest in reconstructive surgery.

 

Dr. Bailey and his wife, Dr. Lori Klemm, have two young daughters and a Golden Retriever named Ruby. When he’s not spending time with his girls, he enjoys golfing, playing guitars and exercising.
